ELA:
Today we began our novel study on the book "Hatchet" by Gary Paulsen. We started with a class discussion on the meaning of the word perseverance- our school's virtue of the month as well as an important theme in the book. As a class, we read the first chapter then wrote a journal reflection. - What does "perseverance" mean? Ask me to give an example. Social Studies: Students in Rm 19 began researching their second Canadian region today. We are using two different textbooks in French to take notes on the six categories: location, relief, climate, vegetation, fauna, and natural resources. - Did I learn any new information about my region?
