Phantom Tollbooth Opinion Paragraph due tomorrow. Please see last Thursday's Weebly post for explanation of this assignment.
Four students still have verb quiz to be signed (and corrected), as well as many multiplication quizzes still to be signed and corrected. Thank you! Literature meeting is Mon., Dec. 10. Students are to read their literature task work to someone at home, correcting for: capitalization, organization (does it make sense?), punctuation and spelling. Students have had plenty of class time to complete this task so please come prepared!
Multiplication quiz to be signed AND CORRECTED. (A few students finished the quiz today so if if it did not come home today, please look for it on Monday.) Phantom Tollbooth Opinion Paragraph - good copy (handwritten) due on Tues., Dec. 11. Students will be given 25 minutes of class time on Monday to work on this assignment. It is also called a "hamburger paragraph" because the opening sentence states the opinion and is like the bun on top. This is followed by the meat, or three examples which support the opinion stated in the opening sentence. Finally, the concluding sentence or the bun on the bottom, reiterates the opinion with a general reason why. (Example: To conclude, I think that words and numbers are equally important because you need both to live a good life.) Thank you and have a great weekend! Dear Parents:
Just an FYI of two new units begun this week:
