AMA our first music class. We are learning the ukelele!
AMA our Social Studies activity where we had to draw a map of Canada from memory. What are some of the provinces and territories I learned about today? AMA beginning our Mad Libs project.
We learned: - about different categories of words (nouns, proper nouns adjectives, verbs, adverbs) - plurals - verb endings in English Today, we began talking about a growth mindset vs. a fixed mindset. Students brainstormed situations in which they might engage in negative self talk, for example, "I can't do math." We then talked about things to think or say to yourself which are positive and encourage growth, rather than things that bring you down.
Ask your child about things they could say to themselves rather than: - I'm not good at this - She's so smart, I'll never be that smart - It's good enough AMA Saving Fred in Science.
We learned: - teamwork - precise movements - working within constrictions - water safety - being flexible, able to change plans on the go - do not eat Science materials If you did not receive the Weekly Update for Sept. 4-7 that was sent out at 3:30 on September 3rd, your email may be unsubscribed.
